About the English Classes

Hi, today I'm  going to talk about my experience at the English in this semester.
In first place I must to say that when I came to this class I had a lot of good expectations, but sadly all of them were not met. I thought that in a “Lever 4 Class” I could acquire a best level of the idiom, but that didn’t happen. I don’t like to write blogs like this, because I’m not learning… all the things I’m writing now I knew them in advance. I believe a good class of English is when someone teaches how to write, speak, and talk this language… not writing blogs. The online translator just helps me with words or expressions that I didn’t know, but I’m not learning with this. These classes were a loss of time. I really wanted to learn, but I couldn’t!
I think I need to improve my pronunciation, and the “listening part”, I don’t know how can I do this… the music always helps but I think is not enough and I don’t have time or even money for take an English classes. Maybe to read a book in the summer (in English of course) can help. Another thing is the use of tenses (I think it must to be the principal item of an English class, and we didn’t see this). I believe it’s a better idea retake my Chinese lessons, because I think it’s a beautiful idiom and my progress (when I was learning this) was very fast and enriching.
Outside the English classes I’m not using a lot the English because I don’t have the need. Sometimes I read news or articles (and listen to music) but that’s all.
I wish that these classes could be helpful in the years thereafter, especially for the people of lower levels, because they really need a good base and classes are fundamental.
GOODBYE BLOG!!!

My future job

Hi, today I’m going to talk about the job I want to have in the future. I’m not sure about what kind of job I want to have in the future, maybe, if I could, I want to study another career. I had been thinking that I want to be a canine psychologist, that is because I love dogs, but its behavior is complicated sometimes, so I need to have information about its conduct, for know how to react in determined situations.
Maybe it sounds a little strange, but I don’t only want to work as a sociologist, I want to do something more, something that makes me feel fulfilled, and that’s why I want to choose that job. I choose dogs because they are the most vulnerable in this city (if I could have a lot of money, I would like to have a center for every vulnerable animal). The central idea is to have a big center for dogs, where I would be the owner (that’s why I need to be a canine psychologist).
If I would be the owner, I need a team who work with me, so I need to search and find people for this. If a do a job interview, I expect people with the next strengths: principally, they need to love animals; also, they need to be very careful with them and give them a good treatment, and that’s all. We are going to be like a big family, very furry J hahaha.
To make it possible, I need a lot of money, so I need to work hard for that, I don’t care what kind of job I need to get, I’m always willing for do my best wherever I work. If I go to any job interview I would say that my strength is my adaptability disposition and my weakness is that I hate when I have to wake up early…
So, that is my crazy idea, I hope someday I could do it, if you want to join me please do it J

The legend of Polybius

Hi, today I'm going to talk about Polybius.
Polybius was an arcade video-game which has a very interesting story. There are some legends about the game. The principal story says that the game was released in 1981, exactly in the United States. The strange part of the story is that when you play the game, it has bizarre consequences, like horrible nightmares, stress, madness and also you feel like commit suicide.  Few time then, the game disappeared mysteriously.
The game was supposedly made by a company called “Sinneslöschen” (the meaning in German language is “loss of sense”). In the game you should shoot other enemies naves, meanwhile a range of hard lights are appearing intermittently on the screen. When you used the commands, you don’t move the nave, you move the screen, and that is so weird.
The videogame became very popular, it was a kind of revolution in videogames because its graphics. The popularity in some cases became in addiction. People who affirm were players of this game, says that the game contained subliminal messages and that the game produced headaches, dizziness, vomiting, optic and hearing hallucinations and epileptic seizures. They also affirm that some kind of faces appeared almost imperceptibly, and the messages that we mentioned before were things like “kill yourself”, “no imagination”. “no thought”, “conform”, “honor apathy”, “do not question authority”, “surrender” and things like that.
The legend continues: the people, who were addicted to the game then, strangely, became haters of this. In the enclosures where these games were, there were always two men in black talking with the owner of the enclosure. An explication of all those strange things is that the government of the United States created these games, for control minds.
I don’t know if this game really existed or not, but is not a legend that a lot of people is addicted to the video-games. Maybe we can turn off the game consoles, the computer and the telephones and enjoy a little more the good things of the life :)

How green am I?

Well, I don't know exactly where people used to learn about environmentally friendly practices, maybe the children do it at school, and the older people do it seeing other persons doing it or maybe searching information in internet. In my personal experience, I don’t use to recycle, because I don’t know where recycling companies are, and also, we don’t have a car for carry the trash. But I use to occupy plastic bags, bottles, cardboard boxes, etc, until they are useless... I try to occupy it again and again, and don’t throw it.
About the cars, how I said before, I don’t have one, so I need to use my own legs... I don’t have the habit of using the cycle, because I don’t know how to use it very well.Sometime ago, I tried to join to “Greenpeace”, but I didn’t do it because I’m not vegetarian, and I thought that people would look at me with bad eyes for that reason. But I helped them with signature collections, for example for save polar bears of the Arctic.  Also, I’m always seeing information about environmental things, like documentary, press articles, etc. In the future I want to recycle and have a lot of plants and trees hahaha J and also I want to have a big piece of land, where I could have a lot of homeless dogs and cats, or maybe every homeless animal in the world. I’d like to have an electric car too.
For reduce my carbon footprint, I don’t take long showers, we turn off and unplug electric things that we are not using in that moment. We changed paraffin stove for a gas stove. And I think that the society don’t have awareness about environmental problems; personally I think that a lot of people are disconnected with the nature, they think that people and nature are different things, but we are only one, we need nature and nature need us.

THE END IS NEAR

Hi... today I'm going to be like "Salfate"  :)
All of us heard about the earthquake and tsunami which affected to Japan in 2011. It was a horrible natural disaster. As a consequence of this catastrophe, thousands of people died, another thousand were injured, and a lot of persons still disappeared until today. Beyond this, the economy, the construction, and of course, the feelings of the people were severely impacted.
But now, another consequence of this disaster is near to happen... and it will affect to the entire world... with the big movement of the tectonic plates, a lot of buildings were affected, it include to the nuclear centers of this country.
Few days ago TEPCO (Tokyo Electric Power), confessed that the nuclear center called "Fukushima Daiichi" is sinking slowly. The building now is sunken 80 centimeters. This information was given by the Japanese diplomatic Mitsuhei Murata, and then was ratified by TEPCO.
The reactor number 4, was the most impacted by the tsunami, earthquake and the later explosion; it still contains 1500 spent fuel rods, and the pool with radioactive water which is damaged. Experts says that the eventual collapse of this reactor will generate a radioactive catastrophe without precedents, WHICH COULD LEAVE A BIG PART OF THE PLANET INHABITABLE!!!
So, get ready for the catastrophe, enjoy your last moments, and if you want you can pray... because the end is near. :)!

Migration on the EU

Theresa May is the home secretary of the UK, and she is going to propose a new idea: more restrictions for the migration in the EU. She sees that a lot of people are migrating to UK, and she wants to change this situation. This idea is considered as one of the strictest about migration. She thinks that her idea will have the support of others members of the EU, like Netherlands… even if sources of Foreign Office says that this idea will have a bad reception on the citizens.
As a consequence of this, the government announced a referendum.
In the notice, a dispute between EU and the UK is described. This dispute is about the “residence test”, which limits the benefits of the new arrivals. “People who are not dependent of a worker or self-employed person, or are judged to be a burden on public funds, currently fail the test”.
May is revising the political about the migration in the EU. Her final objective is to reduce the number of immigrants in the UK to below 100.000, because migration to the UK represents the 27% of migration of the EU.
The minister wants to take care of the new members too, Romania and Bulgaria.
So, it’s a very important new, because migration is a very important item of our time.

My best holidays

Today, I'm going to tell you about my best holidays. I always wanted to visit another country, and in this journey I could do it.
In the summer of 2011, exactly in January I had my study tour. All my classmates, the head teacher and some guardians went by bus to the south of Chile and then to Argentina. It was a very funny and unforgetable experience. We started the journey on 3 January; the first place that we visited was "Salto del Laja", it is a beautiful waterfall, but it's small if you compare it with anothers famous waterfalls like "Cataratas de Niagara" or "Cataratas del Iguazu". In the next day, we arrived to a natural reserve (sorry, I can't remember the name) and in this place we got on a cargo vessel and cross a big lake; after this, we got on the bus again. It took 3 days to arrive to Argentina (stay 3 days on the bus without a shower obviously wasn't the best part of the journey!). We arrived exactly in Bariloche, a wonderful place, with amazing landscapes of lakes, mountains and forest. In Bariloche things are very cheap comparated with Chile (things like CD's or books). Bariloche is famous because of its chocolates, they are very cheap and so tasty!; the people who lives there were very  very kind with all of us. In our stay we played bowling and pool, visited the most important places, and swam in a temperated swimming pool.
It was a very exhausting journey, but I could see beautiful places and share with my friends all the days... definitively these were my best holidays ;)

I wanna go to...

Hi, today I will talk about the country I want to visit someday. This country is Greece... I chose this country because his history is very attractive for me, and its landscapes seemed very beautiful to me.

I don't know so much about actual history, but about the ancient history I know a little more; the ancient Greece is called "the birthplace of Western civilization", because here born democracy, Western philosophy, Olympic Games, Western literature, the study of History, Policy, Math and Science!
I love its legends, which talk about gods, demigods, sirens, Minotaur, and a wide range of mythical creatures... I think they are very interesting and exciting... one of my favorite is the legend called "Odyssey", which talk about a warrior who want to come back to his house in Itaca after the war in Troya, for this, he had to pass very difficult tests. In Itaca his wife was waiting for him. At last, it took ten years to Odiseo (the warrior) to come back to Itaca.
In Greece, I want to visit every important place on there, for example, the Parthenon.
I'd like to study in Greece because I really love this country, but I think I will have problems with the language!

My first term

My first term of 2012 was in general unusual, because I lived a lot of new things. First of all I had my first experience at university... it was strange because there, things are so different compared with the school. All my life I studied in schools only for girls, and now I'm with a lot of boys, and of course, the requirements are demanding...  it took a lot of getting used to. Here, in the university, I learned new things, new skills, and they were very interesting... I used the majority of my time studying.

In my spare time (I didn't have much of this) I tried to draw to my favorite musical artists, like Kurt Cobain, Dave Mustaine, and Chino Moreno... I don't think they are great drawings but I enjoyed this activity. Also, I took a subject called "Danza" (Dance) and it was very funny and a great stress reliever.

Regarding to my friends, I could be just few times with them, because they were in the university too, so we didn't have so much time for meetings or things like that, and also we don't live so near, so it was very difficult to meet. This was hard for me because I used to see them every day the last year.

So, this first term I lived new things, good and bad, but everything I lived  is a new experience for me, and it helped me to grow up.

Hi, my name is Camila Fernanda and I will to show you some things about me.
I am a girl from Chile, I lived all my life here, exactly in Santiago.
I'm 18 years old and I like to learn new things every day. Now, I'm studying at university, in the career of sociology... I like it a lot.
I love music, mostly music in English. I'd like to learn to play the guitar someday.
